High Wycombe is within easy commuting distance of London and
Britain's own Silicon Valley - the Thames Valley - High Wycombe is a
Buckinghamshire town that's booming and is ideally situated for living and for
business.
Half way
between London and Oxford, directly situated at J4 of the M40, High Wycombe
benefits from excellent road and rail links. The A404 provides a dual
carriageway link to the South direct to J9 on the M4. The Main line rail
Station runs South to London, or North to Birmingham.
For years it was the centre of Britain's
furniture and chair-making industry - the furniture industry is still prominent
in the town - but today it also hosts a variety of nationally significant
companies and a wealth of new businesses.
Yet despite its growth, Wycombe is
surrounded by some of Britain's most beautiful countryside - the Chiltern Hills
to the north, the Vale of Oxford to the west and the Thames Valley to the
south. Small country towns like Marlow, Amersham, Beaconsfield and Princes
Risborough are just a few miles away and are popular venues for residents old
and new. About 110,000 people live within the environs of Wycombe. The Prime
Minister's country retreat Chequers is also on the doorstep.
Wycombe's multi-cultural, multi-skilled
community gives a real buzz to the town and a feeling it is really going
places. A major new shopping centre and entertainment complex is awaiting a
